About the practice….
Our Philosophy
Individualized Care
Educating to Empower
Serving Selflessly
We say this, because we want to make a program that works for you…because who wants something that’s made for everyone else! We do this by taking time to get to know you, hear your feedback, and implement evidenced based practices with creativity. This ensures your sessions have maximum impact!
We say this, because as much as we love all our patients, we do not want you to depend on us for the rest of your life. What good is knowledge if we never share it with others? We want you to reach the goals that brought you to us, but also develop the tools to tackle all the ones that follow.
We say this, because to be successful in helping others means you first must be selfless. This means putting you, the clients, first in all that we do. We are continuously working to become better practitioners for your benefit. If it is not working for you, it is not working for us!

About me
I started Happier Plate with the simple goal of helping people understand that food should bring you joy!
Often times we feel inspired to make changes about our health but aren’t sure how to start. Social media can tell you the latest trends. Diet books published 20 years ago will let you know what fad diet “worked” for the A list celebs, but what about you…what will work for you? Chances are there are more fun ways to reach your goals that don’t involve cutting out major food groups, skipping dessert, or buying supplements off sketchy sites. With so much of our lives revolving around food you deserve to eat what makes you happy while also reaching your goals.
When I am not working I love cooking (classic dietitian I know), being with my family, and finding a beach as quick as possible!
Education
I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and my Master’s of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism/Dietetic Internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Additionally, I am a Registered Dietitian certified by the Commission of Dietetic Registration’s.
